Casco Viejo, Panama
Casco Viejo (or Old Quarter in english) is a historic neighborhood of Panama city that you would have avoided twenty years ago. It was over run by gangs, with a violent past, and there wasn't much reason to go there. Today it is a vibrant community rich in culture with phenomenal restaurants, and markets to explore. We stayed in the ACE hotel - American Trade, and the photos below reflect the fun stay we had.
