KIM CARROLL

Photographer. Filmmaker. Composer.

Born in the south of Ireland and based in Northern California, Kim Carroll has spent his career telling stories through image, motion and sound.

His work moves between photography, filmmaking and music, shaped by a curiosity about people, place and the ways they connect. He has photographed and filmed around the world, from hospitality and destination projects to documentary and editorial work, while his career in music has included composing for film and performing on major motion-picture scores.

Across disciplines, Kim is drawn to work that feels purposeful and human. Whether documenting a place over the course of a decade, directing a film, composing a score or working alone with a Hasselblad, the approach is much the same: pay attention, stay curious, and make something that feels true to the experience.

Kim lives in Healdsburg, California, where his fine-art photography is exhibited at fís Gallery.
