Holding Fast
Tomales Bay, California
Built in 1944 as a World War II launch vessel, the Point Reyes later found a second life as a commercial salmon boat on Tomales Bay. Eventually brought to Inverness for a restoration that never came, it settled into the mudflats instead, enduring decades of tides, storms and fire. Holding Fast is a portrait of what remains.
