Kim Carroll creates photography and film about people. Musicians and artists, makers and performers, familiar faces and people encountered along the way. Everyone has a story worth telling.

His background as a filmmaker and composer, including work in documentary, shapes the way he approaches those stories. He looks for character, rhythm, emotion and the moments that reveal who someone is, whether through a portrait, a performance or a film. The result is work that feels personal, immediate and alive, created with curiosity and a genuine interest in the person in front of the camera.
