YOSEMITE HOSPITALITY · YOSEMITE, CALIFORNIA
From Property to Place
For more than a decade, Kim Carroll helped shape the visual story of Evergreen Lodge and Rush Creek Lodge, following Yosemite Hospitality through a remarkable period of growth and transformation.
The work began at Evergreen, as the historic lodge entered a new chapter, and continued with Rush Creek from groundbreaking and construction through opening and years of life as a destination. Along the way, Kim created an evolving body of photography and film spanning architecture, hospitality, food, people, adventure and the wild landscape just beyond the door.
The result is more than a record of two properties. It is a portrait of a place and the experience built around it, created over years, seasons and stages of change.
SCOPE OF WORK
Over more than a decade, Kim’s work for Yosemite Hospitality grew alongside the brand itself, from the transformation of Evergreen Lodge to the development, opening and ongoing evolution of Rush Creek Lodge. Across photography and film, he built an extensive visual library capable of serving the business at every stage: introducing new properties, supporting launches and campaigns, communicating the guest experience, and continually refreshing the brand across digital, editorial and marketing channels. The result was a consistent visual story across two distinct properties, grounded in a shared sense of place and created to evolve with the business.

FROM GROUND TO DESTINATION
Featured Lodge · Rush Creek Lodge
Kim began documenting Rush Creek Lodge before the guest experience existed, following the project from groundbreaking and construction through opening and into years of operation.
What began as a development story became a hospitality story. As the property took shape, Kim’s work evolved with it, from documenting architecture and the emerging landscape to capturing the people, food, activities and experiences that would define Rush Creek as a destination.
Created across years rather than a single campaign, the resulting photography and film form a visual record of a property becoming a place, and a brand coming fully to life.
