The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian returns to Narnia centuries after the Pevensie siblings first left it, as they join Prince Caspian in a fight to restore the kingdom.

After collaborating on several films, Kim and composer Harry Gregson-Williams began experimenting with ways to turn Kim’s playing into virtual instruments. Kim had been developing bowing techniques that gave the guitar a rich, cello-like voice, and Harry commissioned recordings of those sounds, along with Kim’s charango, that could be mapped and played on a keyboard.

Those instruments became an important part of Kim’s work on Prince Caspian, allowing textures drawn directly from his playing to become part of the broader sonic palette of the score. Kim continues to use the instruments in his own scoring work today.
